Wash and Decontamination

The vehicle gets a full wash to remove surface dirt, followed by an iron fallout treatment and clay bar process to strip bonded contamination from the paint. Coating over dirty paint is how you trap problems underneath. We do not cut corners here.

Paint Correction (where included)

Swirl marks, light scratches, and water etching are machine polished out before any coating is applied. Ceramic locks in whatever is under it, so the surface has to be right first. Correction level depends on your chosen tier.

Surface Panel Wipe and Prep

Each panel is wiped down with a panel prep solution to remove any polish residue and oils. This step ensures the ceramic coating bonds cleanly to the clear coat with no barriers in between.

Ceramic Coating Application

The coating is applied panel by panel using professional applicators, then leveled with a microfiber cloth before it flashes. Each panel is inspected under lighting for uniform coverage. Higher tiers receive additional layers with cure time between each one.

Price depends on which coating you choose, your vehicle size, and the current condition of the paint. We do not display prices on the website because a coating on paint that needs correction first is a different job to a coating on a near-new car. The difference is what goes on the paint and how much preparation happens first. The 1-Year ceramic sealant includes a full wash and clay bar decontamination, then a sealant across all exterior paint. The 5-Year Gtechniq coating adds paint correction before application to remove swirls, uses the longest-life Gtechniq product, and extends coverage to glass, trim, wheels and wheel arches. Both carry the same 3-month 100% covered warranty.
Yes. Every Gtechniq coating we apply carries a 3-month 100% covered warranty. If the coating fails inside that window, we cover it completely at no cost to you. The warranty holds on two conditions: the vehicle does not go through automatic or tunnel car washes, and it gets washed at least once every two weeks. Both conditions exist because brush washes and long gaps between washes are what actually kill a fresh coating.
We can do it for you. Paul offers a maintenance service at $150 per month that covers the required fortnightly washing, which keeps your warranty intact and keeps the coating performing the way it is supposed to. Just mention it when you request your quote.
Most ceramic coating appointments run between one full day and two days depending on which coating you choose and how much paint correction is needed first. The 1-Year coating on a vehicle in good condition is the fastest. The 5-Year coating with a two-step correction is a multi-step process that takes longer to do properly. You will get a specific time estimate when you request your quote.
For the first seven days after application the coating needs to stay dry where possible and must not go through an automatic car wash. After that initial cure, hand washes or touchless washes every two weeks are what keep it working. Automatic brush washes cause swirl marks and void the warranty. Paul provides an aftercare guide with every appointment, and can handle the maintenance washing for you at $150 per month.
Wax and sealant sit on top of the paint and break down within weeks to a few months. They offer minimal protection against UV, chemicals, or abrasion. Ceramic coating chemically bonds to the clear coat, creating a hard, semi-permanent layer that does not wash off. The hydrophobic effect is also significantly stronger, meaning water and dirt release from the surface far more easily between washes.
Daily drivers take the most punishment from UV exposure, road salt, bird droppings, and regular washing. Those are exactly the conditions ceramic coating is built for. The protection it provides on a vehicle driven year-round in the Inland Northwest will do far more work than on a weekend-only car kept in a garage.
